3 calming rituals I use when the world feels like a lot:
- Breathe in 4s. This is an easy breath practice you can do for some rapid calm. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, pause for 4. It’s a pattern breaker that brings your body back to safety.
- Touch something real. Put your hands in soil, hold a warm mug, put on a soft
sweater. Using your sense of touch helps you ground through your senses.
- Do one thing slow. Life is so busy, so slowing down just for a moment can act like a reset and it doesn't need to take long. You can brush your hair slowly. Make a calming tea. Light a candle. Whatever you do, give it your full attention for just a moment.
